Chhipa Welfare Association team had submitted a report on torched “Chhipa Ambulance”. The ambulance was set ablaze by the angry mob on Monday near Sohrab Goth. The torched ambulance was shifted to Sachal Police Station.

While briefing the “Chhipa Welfare Association” Patron-in-chief Ramzan Chhipa, the team said that the furious mob had completely destroyed the Chhipa Ambulance Registration No. CT-3669 and the ambulance driver was subjected to torture. The life-saving equipment installed inside the ambulance including wireless radio set, CNG cylinder, CNG kit, Oxygen cylinder, first aid medical kit, amplifier, hooter, siren, emergency lights, seats and stretcher, doors and glasses and even the ambulance Engine Number (PKT-825560) was completely destroyed with sharp and blunt tools.

Having completely destroyed, the angry mob had then torched the ambulance and only the chassis was left in the residue.

While expressing his concern over the sad incident, Ramzan Chhipa said that “Chhipa” was a human rights organization and had been serving to the ailing community, the sick and the injured. The drivers while putting their lives in dangers performed to save the injured but the angry mob had not spared the ambulance and the driver.

He said that the Chhipa did not believe in caste, colour or creed but humanity so the incident was agonizing and it should have not happened.

The citizens should realize that they were the volunteers of the Chhipa that did not care for their lives and reached every terror-jit spot in the city so as to save lives of the injured.
